In 2007 I went to 39 matches. That's what prompted me to go for 40+ live matches in 2008. The target of Fifty was reached on the 1st November (Manchester United 4 Hull City 3 - an excellent match). It's was easily achievable as I live in a region with lots of football teams. It helps having a season ticket to Old Trafford. Then there is the interest in United's Reserve side, and following FC United in the Unibond Leagues and Cups. By the summer break I reached 25 games without ruining my social life. So from the big match atmosphere down to the friendly atmosphere of non-league it's been fun. There will come a day when I can't go to live matches so make the most of it whilst you can. Carrying on now until December.

Some of the teams I'd like to see:
Arsenal Ladies 'cos they always win, Ebbsfleet United owned by the internet generation, Genoa CFC the oldest team in Italy, Sheffield FC - the world's oldest club, and any team from South America...and many more including Timperley Bigshorts, Red Star Belgrade, and Yeovil Town. Just like the names.

Three aims achieved this year:
Went to Buxton FC the highest ground in Britain, watched Manchester United Reserves now that Ole is in charge. Seen the fans owned club Runcorn Linnets - what a good name.
